Frequently asked questions

How often are rates updated?
The reference rates shown in the converter, the rate box, and the historical tables are refreshed once per business day from a public currency-rate API. The TradingView chart embedded on each pair page carries its own intraday data and updates more frequently while a market session is open.

Are the displayed rates the rates I will get from a bank?
No. The site shows a reference rate close to the mid-market level. Banks, brokers, ATMs, card networks, and money-transfer services apply their own spreads and fees, so the rate they offer for a real transaction will normally be less favourable than what you see here. The mid-market vs bank rates guide walks through how to estimate the gap, and the Disclaimer covers the broader caveat.

Can I use the data in an app or report?
The information is provided for personal reference. For commercial redistribution, automated harvesting, or republishing, please contact us first. The underlying rate data is sourced from third parties and has its own licence terms.

A currency I need is missing — can it be added?
The site covers 42 currencies. If a widely used currency is missing and there is sufficient interest, send a note explaining your use case and the currency code, and we will consider it for a future update.

Are there fees to use the site?
No. The site is free and supported by advertising. There are no accounts, paywalls, or premium tiers.

Why does a rate I see here differ slightly from another site?
Different rate providers sample the FX market at slightly different moments and apply slightly different aggregation methods. Small variations between two reference sites are normal. Larger differences usually mean one of the two has stale data — refresh and compare timestamps.
